AhlulBayt News Agency: The Hebrew daily Maariv reported that intelligence gathered by Hezbollah on Israel’s strategic sites and naval movements in its economic waters has taken Israeli security agencies by surprise and even served as a basis for a recent naval drill.
The report suggests that the intelligence confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah has entered a deeper and more sensitive stage.
Israeli concerns now focus on the extent and accuracy of Hezbollah’s intelligence regarding energy infrastructure and maritime operations in the Mediterranean.
A military source quoted by the newspaper said that a significant portion of the information collected by Hezbollah was used as the foundation for a recent multi‑day Israeli Navy exercise involving scenarios of multi‑front warfare.
The Israeli military had earlier revealed a commando operation in November 2024 in which it abducted Imad Amahz from the Batroun coast in Lebanon, a figure linked to Hezbollah.
